Upper shoulder. Healthy colour. Good labels. A good wine that should be drunk soon.
Comment about the vintage:
A very good vintage which produced harmonious good wines with delicious, mature fruit. The 1962s have always unjustly been standing in the shadow of the great 1961s. In a recent tasting all wines showed wonderful sweet charming fruit and still very much alive. All are ready now and most minor chateaux should be drunk up. My personal favourites are Mouton, Pétrus, Palmer, Cos, Rauzan Ségla, Mission Haut Brion, Haut Brion, L'Enclos, Canon, Gruaud Larose, Latour and surprisingly Ausone.
